Repair of system with critical gas leak

Maxcase - The high pressure and temperature of the processing liquid, in addition to the coastal environment, cause serious leaks in refinery pipes.

✳️ Challenge:

A high-pressure (above 16 bar) and high-temperature (above 70°C) system required immediate attention after a critical leak. To ensure a reliable solution, the entire system section was depressurized, demanding extensive surface preparation and reinforcement of the repair at the junction.

 

✅ 🛠️ Solution:

The repair process began with abrasive blasting to remove residual leaked fluids and to create the required surface roughness for optimal adhesion.

 

Given the extreme pressures and temperatures of the system, Maxcomp 9182 was recommended for its superior structural reinforcement capabilities.

 

This composite wrapping solution not only reinforced the repaired area but also provided additional protection to the junction region, ensuring long-term durability.
