The concrete and lining of the tank suffered critical damage due to the reaction by chemicals used over time, directly affecting the quality of the chemical mixtures in the tank, in addition to compromising the safety of handling the products.

🛠️ Scope of Activities:

Concrete renovations and repairs:

• We rebuild and repair the top rail of the tank to restore structural integrity.

Application of coatings:

• After the concrete repairs have dried, we apply MaxPrimer 8242 as a primer for protection and adhesion.
• After the primer has cured, we apply the final coating with MaxCeramic 1612, ensuring high chemical resistance and long-lasting protection.

✅Solution:

Hydrojetting for cleaning as well as creating ideal surface and roughness for coating applications.

Reconstruction of the edges and specific landmarks of the tank, followed by the application of MaxPrimer 8242 for protection and adhesion, and then MaxCeramic 1612 for high chemical resistance and protection.

✅✅ Conclusions:

The tank was back in use within a few days, after the coatings had cured and initial tests were carried out to ensure the effectiveness of the repair of the structure.

The chemical plant returned to operating at full production capacity with the use of the tank within a few weeks, without resulting in significant production losses.
