✳️ Challenge:

Application of coating to seal and reinforce two fuel tanks with cracks and diesel oil leak points.

🛠️ Scope of Activities:

- Primary cleaning with the degreaser to remove contaminating ore residues;

- Production of a rough surface obtained by using electric grinders with abrasive discs;

- Cleaning with degreaser;

- Apply a thin layer of 0.5 mm of Max 5611 using a spatula, which is used to press this layer with crossed movements in all directions;

- Application of additional layers until the site is completely sealed and then application of the finishing layer.

✅Solution:

Surface treatment was carried out using an electric sander with an abrasive disc. At the end of this treatment, the repair surface was free of any contaminating substances, ready to receive the coating that was applied in stages for better results.

✅✅ Conclusions:

The results obtained in both tests carried out were quite effective, considering that the fuel tanks no longer showed “melting” and consequently any type of leak after the repairs.
