✳️ Challenge:
Recovery of the bearing seat on a magnetic separator shaft with wear from use using metallic reinforcement coating to rebuild the bearing seat.
🛠️ Scope of Activities:
-Surface preparation to create a roughness profile;
-Application of Max 5111 polymer to rebuild the bearing seat;
-Remodeling of the magnetic bearing seat.
✅Solution:
Careful preparation of the surface to receive the polymer reinforced with machinable metal for repair and reconstruction MAX 5111. Modeling and reconstruction of the magnetic separator shaft seat using the polymer.
✅✅ Conclusions:
Careful preparation of the surface through electrical grinding with stone, assembled to obtain the ideal roughness for anchoring the polymer during application. A carbon steel bushing was made available by the customer to center the shaft and assist during the repair process. After applying the polymer, we insert the bushing with the help of a hydraulic jack and subsequently apply the finish to the shaft face, thus filling the entire area with material loss.
